Wine tasting at Alex's place for this elegent wine. Sangiovese + Merlot, excellent nose with strong black fruit. Black fruit, strong tannins all around the mouth, mint and strong vanilla smell. Finish was shorter than expected and the wine dropped off in around 1 hour. The wine is not as enormous as described but maybe it was just this year. Interesting IGT!

2004 Marchesi Mazzei Castello di Fonterutoli Siepi Toscana IGT
